I was lucky enough to be able to live in Germany for 3 months a few years back. Having completed six years of german as a foreign language I was über excited to go and experience it first hand! Germany is were I tasted some of the best sausages in my life. The variations and seasonings are all perfection and don’t get me started on the brötchen ( hard rolls) that would accompany many. I would happily trot myself out the door at 0500 to visit the local bäckerei for one of those delicious rolls! My daughter actually cut her teeth on those rolls and has been a bread aficionado ever since 🙂 . On many occasion I would enjoy the popular street food of cürrywürst. It is a pork sausage that is fried then served with curried ketchup and french fries. This recipe is my take on that popular street food. I hope you grill it up for your next cook out or tailgate and let me know what you think!

Your sausages may take longer to grill if they are not fully cooked. Most smoked sausages are but be sure to double check 🙂
