THIS WEEK’S SUPPER INGREDIENTS:
- Mussels
- Apples
- Hard Cider
Mussels are an entertaining dish I always keep in my back pocket. So simple to prepare yet the pay off is huge! There is nothing I dislike more than having guests show up and I am banished to the kitchen for choosing a way too ambitious menu that I couldn’t fully prep ahead of time. I find myself in the weeds with only myself to blame and muttering to myself “Why didn’t I make mussels!”
I have dreamed all of my life of owning an apple orchard. So far it has not been realized but my passion for the fruit hasn’t waned. Portable, nutritious, and just as good in savory dishes as in pies!
I have just gotten on the hard cider bushel basket and I don’t see my self jumping the wicker yet! College had seen to me partaking in way too many “hot apple pie” drinks and resulting hangovers to give the hard cider a chance but time has cured my hesitancy and I am all in! Please comment if you have a favorite brand I should try 🙂
