This week’s snapyoursupper ingredients are:
- Shrimp
- Harissa
Shrimp is a fantastic weeknight meal starter. It cooks in under five minutes and can be combined with a large array of flavors. I currently am the only person in my house that likes shrimp so for me it makes the perfect lunch. The sizing of shrimp can be confusing. These large shrimp are U16-20 which means there are 16-20 shrimp per pound. If I am going to be peeling and deveining shrimp they are going to big ones to make the effort worth it!
I had my first taste of harissa when I was making Merguez sausage in my culinary class. It is a North African chili sauce and its amazing! So flavorful and the perfect combination to add to the lamb to make one of the best sausages I have every eaten. Harissa is a combination of lots of spices, dried chiles and often tomato paste.
I hope you check back on Tuesday to see what I have created for my supper and as always, I would love to see what you have made so “SnapYourSupper” and be sure to use the hashtag #snapyoursupper![bctt tweet=”This week’s ingredients are Shrimp & Harissa #snapyoursupper to share what you would make with these and check back Tuesday for my recipe!” username=”snapyoursupper”]
