Oregano
Flank steak is an inexpensive cut of beef that is packed with flavor. Located below the loin and loved for its great beef flavor; flank takes marinades beautifully and is excellent grilled, braised and in stir fry’s. I personally love flank steak for when I want a quick satisfying meal that requires minimal prep. Just remember to cut against the grain and you can’t go wrong.
At least once per week as a child I would sit with my cute little spoon and love me some tart grapefruit for breakfast! A flavor unlike other citrus that packs sourness with brightness grapefruit makes my absolute favorite candied peel.
Oregano can be very over powering if used to aggressively. There are many different varieties and my favorite to grow is golden oregano for the beautiful foliage it provides. I most often cook with Italian oregano or Mexican oregano. It dries beautifully and the aroma is unmatched.
