This Week’s SnapYourSupper Ingredients are:
-
Cornbread
-
Brussels sprouts
I always make too much cornbread! I don’t even know is there even such a thing as too much cornbread? During grade school hot lunches it was always served warm with maple syrup drizzled over the top. I hated that maple soaked cornbread as a child. While I no longer dislike it; I still prefer a more savory cornbread. My favorite ways to jazz it up are studded with fiery chilis, chorizo, and or course bacon! What is your favorite cornbread addition?
10 years ago if you would have mentioned brussels sprouts in my presence I would have immediately thought of the tasteless, watered down, boiled variety that haunted my dreams! Now they are one of my favorite vegetables! Roasted or grilled on their stalks are my go to serving methods. The leaves are a killer topping to a savory tart and brussels slaw is the best on a freshly grilled half smoked sausage! Whoa, now I’m really hungry! 🙂
I hope you check back on Tuesday to see what I have created for my supper and as always, I would love to see what you have made so “SnapYourSupper” and be sure to use the hashtag #snapyoursupper![bctt tweet=”This week’s ingredients are brussels sprouts & cornbread #snapyoursupper to share what you would make with these and check back Tuesday for my recipe!” username=”snapyoursupper”]
